No better drink for today’s #covcocktail than a mulled wine recipe straight from @dreamhotels Executive Chef, @chefmikea. Cheers to a joyful holiday season! 🍷: ½ gallon port wine
½ gallon sherry wine
½ pint bourbon
½ pint Everclear
2 cups sugar
1 cup raisins
6 prunes
16 cardamon seeds
2 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp whole cloves
1 tsp anise seed
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 lemon (sliced)
one> Put all of the spices in a cheesecloth and tie tightly.
two> Cook fruit-and-spice bag in 2 cups of water for ten minutes.
three> Heat wine—do not boil! Add the fruit and spices.
four> Add sugar, bourbon, and Everclear.
five> Light match to burn off the alcohol for 1 minute. Let simmer.
